Tavana is absolutely thrilled to be featuring the sensationally good Paula Fuga on Tuesday, June 27th at 9 p.m. at Crossroads Hawaiian Brian's!!! Paula Fuga began playing ukelele in High School, studying under master instructor Roy Sakuma. It wasn't long before she released her debut Album 'Lilikoi,' for which Fuga was awarded the Na Hoku Hanohano Award for Most Promising Artist. A chance meeting with Jack Johnson near his home of the North Shore led to a dear friendship and collaboration, with the two writing and recording songs together for the Mana Moali Collective. Fuga would go on to open for him in Australia and New Zealand, as well as play alongside Jack at Madison Square Garden! It was no surprise then that her 2010 EP - 'Misery's End' - features both Jack Johnson and Ziggy Marley! She has also recorded with Mike Love, Trevor Hall, and Nahko Bear to name just a few, and even performed for and met President Obama at the White House! This is one show that is absolutely not to be missed!!! Check out Paula below performing her song 'Misery's End' with island superstar, Mike Love!
